Tetromino Paper Blocks

Chipboard can be applied in countless different ways. Not only is it durable but chipboard can be painted, covered with paper or used as an embellishment. This set of tetromino blocks will have to stand up to some rough play so chipboard was the obvious choice.

This was a quick and easy project because no editing was required in Silhouette Studio. I made this project more time consuming because I decided to paint the blocks which certainly isn’t necessary. They could also be covered with stickers or simply left undecorated. If you do decide to use paint, I recommend sealing the blocks with a layer of Mod Podge.

Tetromino blocks are a fun step-up from traditional cube blocks. Children will be sure to have a blast stacking these blocks and creating unique towers and patterns. This type of activity is also great for developing numeracy skills and spatial visualization.

Martha C

Hi, my name is Martha Clyde. I am a stay-at-home Mom of a 4 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. My children bring so much delight to my life and I thoroughly enjoy every minute (well almost every minute!) raising them. On a part time basis, I am employed as a Sergeant in the Canadian Forces Reserves. With 14 years of service, I am very proud to serve my country as a military musician. From a young age, I have fond memories of learning to sew, craft, and cross-stitch in 4-H and perfecting these skills with my talented and crafty Mother. Later in life, I found myself refinishing furniture, planning parties and events, sewing for my children and making crafts with my kids. I always have a project on the go, just ask my husband! This is where the Silhouette Cameo became the perfect fit for so many of my projects.
