Fabric Cut Pillow Cover

Personalized Pillow Covers are such fun way to personalize home decor and create individual style in a space. There are so many possibilities using the CAMEO or Portrait to create exactly what you want at a price that can’t be beat. We’ve been updating my daughters nursery with a big girl bed, and I wanted a fun personalized pillow cover to include in the bedding.

This All You Need Is Love pillow cover was so easy to make. Here are the supplies you’ll need:

  • Selected fabric
  • Clean Cut Fusible Fabric Stabilizer
  • pillow cover
  • iron
  • fabric blade
  • selected font from design store

First you’ll type your text in the software. You can type each letter as its own element and italize or resize to get the look you want. There are so many fabulous fonts to choose from in the design store. (I used the LW Fabulous font and a font similar to the sweet tea font) Be sure to select the fabric setting under material type.

Next you’ll take the clean cut fusible fabric stabilizer and iron it onto the fabric according to directions on the back. After it is ironed on, you’ll remove the backing and attach it to the mat.

You’ll switch out your regular blade for your fabric blade and can adjust the cut depth depending on fabric thickness.

After you cut your letters, you’ll remove them from the mat and set them on your pillow cover to iron on.

  1. What is the “clean cut fabric stabilizer”? Does that allow you to make any fabric iron on?

    1. Hi Denise, yes, it makes the fabric iron on. It is a pretty neat product!

  2. This is an adorable pillow! I think I need one, too. Thanks.

    1. Thanks so much Joan!

  3. When you do the iron-on fabric that you’ve cut with your Silhouette, is it washable? Do the edges fray? And could you perhaps do it on a sweatshirt??

    1. You should be able to apply it to a sweatshirt and I am not sure how it holds up with washing as I haven’t washed mine yet. Customer service might be able to answer that.

  4. So pretty! One of these days I’m going to do a pillow. Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. Great project! Would the cameo cut foiled spandex fabric?
