I am oh so ready for it to feel like fall around here. While I’m (impatiently) waiting for the temps to drop, I decorated my son’s new jacket with the help of my CAMEO. My little boy lives and breathes trains so he was thrilled when I let him pick out the design.
He carries a toy train everywhere he goes so I thought it would be fun to put the design on the pockets. Because of the jacket’s zipper I needed to split the design in half. If you’ve never done this before it is actually very easy. All you have to do is select the knife tool from the left side of your screen in Silhouette Studio. Use the knife to draw a line where you want your design to be split and that’s it!
Heat transfer material irons on well to textured fabrics like this thermal jacket. It kind of molds to fit all those nooks and crannies.
I knew this jacket was a winner when he begged me to wear it for no reason. It’s an awesome feeling making something he eagerly wants to wear.
