Stenciled Shawl

I love keeping cozy in the cold! There is nothing more comforting than wearing your favorite cold weather gear while you’re out enjoying the season.

I used the stencil material and black fabric paint to add stars to the end of a shawl. Since the shawl was pretty wide I started stenciling on one side, cleaned the stencil up between uses, and kept moving it over until the whole edge was stenciled. If you’re looking for a design that is a little more forgiving choose something with a scattered sort of pattern. I loved using this star design since it didn’t have to be lined up perfectly to look nice.

Stenciling is a great way to personalize a plain shawl or scarf. It also works wonders at giving new life to an already loved piece.

Wrap it up and you have a unique semi-homemade gift. I added a gift tag that I decorated with sketch pens. This will make a great gift…if I can bare to part with it!

Hi there, I’m Analisa! I love to travel and explore new places along with my husband and son. When we’re not on the go I’m happily crafting. I’ve been a crafter for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I collected every craft kit I could get my hands on. Not much has changed. I love my Silhouette because it such a versatile instrument for creating. I can stencil fabric with one project, then create stickers for my son with the next. I love experimenting with all it can do.
