Sketch Pen Envelope

I’ve been dying to get my hands on the sketch pens for forever. They have so many fun and exciting uses. Since I am on “Operation Wedding” right now, I thought they would be fun to use on envelopes for addressing. Though they did work and I think they look super cute, it may not be the quickest method. At any rate, these would be fun for single snail mail letters. Do people still send those to one another? Just kidding! I love to get personal mail. It’s so fun! So, these might be perfect for thank you cards, birthday cards, etc.

I added a cute little arrow and monogram to the front of the envelope and a Save the Date banner to the back of the card. I’m actually really in love with these! Oh, and I haven’t even talked about the best part. . . the ink. The ink from this cute little pen actually looks sparkly! Yes, you all know by know how much I love sparkles! That was just the icing on the cake. Oh, I love icing on cake too! Hey, I’m easy to please.

  1. I wrote Happy Valentine’s Day ChildsName on the inside of blank cards for my kid’s preschool class with the sketch pens. Kids that age love seeing their own name on things. My kid then stamped and painted the outside of the cards to make them pretty.

The glitter is beautiful!! The camera doesn’t capture how pretty it is.

  2. Hi – I have been using my sets of silhouette pens more and more for things and at first I thought I was imagining it BUT after reading your post I am so glad I am not the only one seeing some glitter sparkle in them!

  3. My Silhouette black pen is empty. I used it to address envelopes for a bridal shower. I was disappointed that it ran out after 30 envelopes. I was able to find a number of pins on Pinterest showing how to replace the ink cartridges. I bought 2 black cartridges at Staples for 99 cents and my husband cut one down for me to try. He also suggested using partially used cartridges so it would be easier to cut without any ink coming out. I’m anxious to see how it works. Short gel pens might be another option. I’m waiting for them to go on sale.:)

  4. What is the advantage of the silhouette sketch pens over using the pen holder?
