Printed Cotton Canvas Embellishment

Hi everyone! It’s Traci and I’m back to share a new 12 x 12 layout with you.  My CAMEO was put to work on this one — cutting, sketching, and print & cuts!  It was a lot of fun!

I love the look of Silhouette’s Cotton Canvas material on a layout.  It went through my printer without a problem and then cut perfectly!  For this design, I ungrouped the pieces and added color to the individual shapes.  Then I grouped them all together again and sent the canvas through my printer.

For the title, I wanted a mixture of sketched words and a cut design.  Using the sketch pens is a great way to print a title or journaling directly onto your 12 x 12 background — just replace the blade with a sketch pen, and hit cut.

Silhouette’s adhesive kraft paper is also great.  I didn’t have to fuss with getting adhesive onto the thin letters.  I just cut it out, peeled it off the backing, and stuck it down!  I just love when scrapbooking is easy!

I hope I’ve inspired you to play with some adhesive canvas and kraft paper, and of course to try journaling on your layouts with sketch pens! You will love having fun with these products!

Thanks for letting me share!

  2. Love your layout Traci…awesome color scheme.

  3. Cute page! I have some questions about the canvas that aren’t answered on the web site. Is it adhesive on the back? Pressure sensitive? Is it waterfast? lightfast?
