How To Use Weed Lines In Silhouette Studio®Business Edition

Hello friends! Connie here, and I am going to show you all how to use an amazing feature found only in Silhouette Studio® Business Edition 3: Automated Weed Lines. This feature is especially great to have when you are working with vinyl. I find that weed lines help me to minimize vinyl waste because I am able to weed each piece section-by-section instead of trying to weed the entire piece at once. As mentioned above, the weed lines feature can only be found in the Business Edition version of Silhouette Studio® and it is the icon with ‘Ab’ symbol around…

Inspiration For Christmas At the Beach

Christmas at the beach is my favorite time at the beach! White Christmas at our home means sand between your toes. Making your own beach holiday décor is quick and easy with a little chipboard and glitter heat transfer vinyl. I mean, how cute is this Sandy Claws stone crab? The bronze glitter vinyl reflects the sunset perfectly. The design is my own! When I’m not crafting, you can find me drawing crustaceans and hand-lettering designs. I’m funny like that. Supplies Needed: Silhouette CAMEO® Heat press or iron Hook tool White pillow cases (16 in. x 16 in.) 12-Inch Silhouette Glitter Heat…

Etching Materials Other Than Glass With Your Silhouette

Did you know that you can use your Silhouette Etching Cream to etch more than just glass? I picked up this cute set of mismatched cappuccino mugs at the store and wanted to dress them up a bit for autumn. Use Silhouette Studio® To Plan Scrapbook Layouts

School starts here in just 4 days! My kids have mixed emotions and, truth be told, so do I.  So in honour of summer not being completely over just yet, I created this layout from one of our family times together this past summer—making S’mores. My kids were very excited to start a fire (which I have never done on my own before but had to this time because my hubby wasn’t with us!) and roast marshmallows for some delicious S’mores. Of course, I had my camera with me and had to take a few pictures.  (I must say, I…

Personalize Your Text With The Photo-Fill Feature | A Silhouette Studio® Tutorial

Hello Silhouette Nation!  Carrie again showing you how to add photos to your text designs to really add some punch to your amazing projects.   I wanted to make another fun art piece to add to my ever growing collage wall in my craft room to inspire me every time I walk in there.  Of course I found the perfect phrase in the Silhouette design store to do that. I also have a very healthy stash of fabrics collecting dust laying around, waiting for their turn at greatness. Then I thought to use a simple embroidery ring, bought at my local craft store and painted to…

Reflective Heat Transfer Gear

Let’s talk about two of my favorite things today—heat transfer vinyl and fonts. I find Silhouette Reflective Heat Transfer Material to be highly versatile. It’s thin and does well pressed on both light and medium-weight materials.   In this project, we’re going for the reflective heat transfer’s intended use, which is to aid in nighttime visibility. Major clothing brands use a bit of similar material on your workout gear as a small logo or pinstripe.   NOTE: I’ve also used the reflective heat transfer on t-shirts worn during the day and the subtle color change effect in daylight is mesmerizing. It looks gray,…
