How To Use PixScan™ To Decorate Handmade Cards

Did you know you can use PixScan™ to decorate handmade cards? Today, I’m going to tell you how you can “fussy-cut” patterned paper without even having to lift your detail scissors. To be honest, I’ve had a PixScan™ mat since last Christmas when I received it with the CAMEO, but I had never tried it out. The great thing is the same PixScan™ mat that works with the previous model of the CAMEO will also work with the CAMEO 3—no need to purchase a new one. How cool is that? Want to see how it works? Let’s go! Supplies needed: The…

Hey friends! It’s me again, and I’m back to share my fall favorites. It’s the 2016 Fall Paper Craft Round-up! If you’re like me, then it’s pretty tough to choose just a couple favorites. Fall is the best time of year. I mean, the leaves are changing, there’s a crisp freshness in the air, and everything is on pause before the onset of winter. I mean… that’s what fall is like for you. I’m in South Florida. My kids are still enjoying the pool after school, and the only leaves falling are from dead branches. Wherever you are, the possibilities…

Maximize Your Cutting Material with Silhouette Studio®

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you two projects and tips on how to maximize your cutting material so that you can get the most use out of it. I’m the type of person who doesn’t like to waste cardstock. I will save the smallest pieces (well within reason, of course). But I also like to get the most out of a sheet of paper and there are a few simple ways to do this. Here are two layouts that I created using some Adhesive Backed Cardstock, Vellum, Printable Kraft Paper and Printable Gold Foil. “Scatter Sunshine”   “Find Wonder In…

Christmas Tree Scrapbook Layout

I found this cute little car file with a tree on top and knew it would be perfect for my layout. The file comes with several layers to make the car so you must choose your colors wisely and then layer all the papers.  I used some Printable Silver Foil for the bottom layer (windows, tires, etc).  And then the black, white and red Silhouette Adhesive Backed card stock for the other layers.       There were several layers for the tree but I just used the largest one . I cut a small piece…

Watercolor Leaves Card

Fall is one of the best times of the year for beautiful color combinations, so I wanted to make an autumn-inspired card with lots of leaves on it.       I cut out these whimsical leaves with my CAMEO using watercolor paper and then added some watercolor paint to them!     I added a stamped sentiment to really let  the leaves shine! The color combinations you can create are endless and you can truly make them your own!   Hope you enjoyed this autumn-inspired card!
