How Brewing Beer Led To Mags Bonham’s Love Affair With Curio [Silhouette Spotlight]

My name is Mags Bonham, and my husband and I have lived in Vermont, outside Burlington, for nineteen years. My husband is a craft beer home brewer, so we spend a lot of time enjoying his beer, and all the other great beer being made in Vermont. We love to travel and spend time with our golden retriever, Barley. Many years ago, I made some hop jewelry to wear at beer festivals and the jewelry really caught on. (Hops are the ingredients in beer that give it the most flavor.) With the help of some local breweries and Etsy, the line…

Etched Metal Jewelry

The stippling and etching tool for Curio is finally here! I rounded up a few metal stamping blanks and picked the sketched camera design.     I didn’t expect my first project to be a success, but it was! It works a lot like the sketch pens, but instead of sketching you’re etching.     To get the right placement for the metal blanks I used the same placement trick…

PixScan™ Technology

Are you familiar with PixScan™ technology? You can cut precisely around a printed design or position cut lines in a specific location on your material without having to print registration marks. Just snap a picture or scan your project, import it into Silhouette Studio®, add cut lines as desired, and cut away! It’s a great way to use stamps, hand sketches, children’s artwork and pre-printed images. One of my favorite things about the PixScan™  is that I can add custom borders & frames to professionally printed invitations like these…     Watch this video to see it in action!
