Connie Wilson

Short Bio

Hi friends! My name is Connie Wilson and I'm originally from Fresno, California but am currently living in Portland, Oregon with my awesome husband and 10-month-old daughter. I love to craft! As a stay-at-home mama, crafting is my sanity. It helps me to relax and unwind after a long day chasing my baby around! I have a minor in Business and my B.A. in Biblical/Theological Studies & a second minor in Education. I love to bake, cook, watch makeup tutorials online and hanging out with friends and family. I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the Silhouette Design Team!

Where are you from?

Born and raised in Fresno, CA but currently living in Hillsboro, OR… about 20 minutes from the big city of Portland!

How long have you been a Silhouette user?

I have been a Silhouette user for almost 3 years. My friend got a CAMEO for Mother’s Day one year and I was so intrigued. My friend was nice enough to let me play with hers. I wanted one too but at the time we were poor college students with no money for fun things :) My husband bought me my Portrait (a.k.a my baby) during the amazing Black Friday sale one year and the rest is history. I’m not sure how I ever lived without it!

What kind of materials or media do you use most?

Vinyl for sure. I use vinyl almost every day; both adhesive and heat transfer vinyl. I love it so much. My first love was paper. I still enjoy playing with paper, especially making 3D paper projects.

Where do you find your inspiration?

I find my inspiration all around. I do love checking out social media and apps but I always make sure I add my own special touch to each project. I like to be creative and unique and not copy other peoples’ work. Being unique is the best way to be!

Which Silhouette product do you like or use the most?

I use my CAMEO on a daily basis. I also use my Mint stamp maker often. But for sure my CAMEO is put to good use everyday.

Fun Facts about me

  • I have donated my hair to Locks of Love 2 times!
  • When I was little, I *had* to smell my food before I ate it. No matter what it was. My family still makes fun of me for it.
  • I have minor OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) about certain things. If I walk through a puddle but only one foot touches the water, I have to go back and put the other foot in the puddle too. I just like balance! :)
