Hello Silhouette fans! I'm so excited to be back on the Creative Team again this year. I am a scientist by training, but I have always been interested in art and art history as well. I enjoy sharing fun gift, home decor, and handmade card ideas over on my blog. My projects often reflect my other interests which include outdoorsy things like hiking, biking, and canoeing as well as a love of travel, small towns, and nature photography. I've been happily married for nearly 10 years to a man who is incredibly tolerant of my ever-growing craft supply stash...and we recently welcomed a new little boy into our lives as well.
Where are you from?
I spent the last decade or so moving all around the country for my career, but I’m happy to say that I (very) recently made one final move back home to Pennsylvania.
How long have you been a Silhouette user?
Since the day I decided I needed custom stencils to make markers for my vegetable garden…so about five years now!
What kind of materials or media do you use most?
I’ve tried almost everything at least once, but paper will always be my most-used material.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I’m a scientist by training, so most of my projects start with simple experimentation. I love finding new ways to use the products I already have in my craft room. Style-wise, I’m an outdoorsy girl who loves small towns, so pieces of both usually find a way to creep into my work.
Which Silhouette product do you like or use the most?
I couldn’t live without my Silhouette CAMEO, but I love using it for glass-etching!
Fun Facts about me
I love the smell of coffee, but I won't touch the stuff!
My son is named after my favorite baseball player.
- I have a black cat named Spot and a white tabby kitten named Blooter...so I pretty much can't go anywhere without a lint roller.
