Today I’m excited to be sharing my first project using my new Silhouette Curio. As a first time user, I was nervous about the learning curve with a new machine. Can I just say that my fears were unfounded? Not only are there various video tutorials on the Silhouette blog to get your started, but after I plugged in my machine and designed my stippled project in the software, it told me exactly what mats I needed to use, what cut settings to use, and even which tool per color to place my sketch pens.
To create this art, I used the stippling feature and sketch pens in copper and orange. The stippling added little shadows and highlights that created depth to my word art. After completing the stippling, I then replaced the pens with a blade and cut out my design on the cutting mat.
After weeding out the excess card stock, I applied the design to wood paper. There are so many new and exciting ways to create using the Curio and I am bursting with excitement at all the possibilities.
