S’mores Party With The Silhouette CAMEO®

S’mores Party With The Silhouette CAMEO®

Nothing says summer like a good s’more. We’ve created four projects you can make with the CAMEO that will up your s’more party game. Impress your friends, family, (and pretty much everyone) with these cute ideas.

Buffalo Check Roasting Sticks

Supplies Needed:

  • Silhouette CAMEO®
  • Silhouette Studio®
  • Stainless steel skewers
  • 2- 2’’ x 2’’x 96’’ board cut to 24’’ long—leaving you with (8) 24’’ blocks
  • Buffalo check scrapbook paper
  • Mod Podge
  • Heavy duty glue suitable for wood & metal
  • Drill and drill bit same diameter as skewers
  • Wire cutters to cut metal
  • Cut File

Step One: Cut Buffalo Check

Open the cut file in Silhouette Studio®. Cut all eight wrappers out.

Step Two: Sand, Stain, Seal All Eight Blocks

Carefully paint mod podge on all four sides of block. Wrap the block with your newly cut paper, being careful to smooth all of the sides. Repeat on all eight blocks. Once mod podge is dry, paint another thin layer on all four sides of each block to seal the paper.

Step 3: Drill and Glue

Using a drill bit, drill a hole in the top center of each roasting stick. Hole should be the same diameter as your skewer. Cut your stainless steel skewer just below the looped end. Apply a dot of glue to the pre-drilled hole and a dot of glue to the top of your steel skewer. Stick the skewer into the hole and make sure it’s straight. Repeat on all eight sticks and allow to dry.

Sticker Name Tags with Sketch Pen on Buffalo Check Paper

Supplies Needed:

Step One: Draw Food Labels on Sticker Paper

Open food label drawing file in Silhouette Studio®. Insert sticker paper and draw food labels.

Step Two: Cut out Food Labels

Now that your food label cards have been drawn on the sticker paper, cut them out with the CAMEO.

Step Three: Cut out Tag for Food Labels

Cut out the buffalo check food tag to place your food label on. You can find the cut file for the buffalo check tag here. Place a sticker on each of the cut tags.

Step Four: Embellish Tags With Rope

Finish by looping jute rope through the tags’ holes. Be careful to avoid tearing.

Roast Em’ Toast Em’ Chalkboard Sign

Supplies Needed:

Step One: Design Sign and Cut/Weed Stencil

Type Roast Em’ Toast Em’ in Beachy Font. Open up Design #64346.  To get the same look that we used, erase the marshmallow bag from the design. This will leave you with just the roasting stick.

Once you have your desired sign placement, cut your design out with vinyl. Weed the letters out leaving your “stencil.” Place transfer paper over your stencil.

Step Two: Place Stencil on Chalkboard and Paint

Place the stencil on your chalkboard. Lightly paint the stencil with white latex paint in a satin or matte finish. To get a chalkboard effect, paint lightly in some spots and heavier in others. Remove stencil once paint is completely applied (do not wait for paint to dry).

Oly-Fun Bunting

Supplies Needed:

  • Silhouette CAMEO®
  • Oly-Fun Material
  • Hot glue gun
  • Jute string cut 7 ft. long. (this includes 6 in. on each end to tie the banner)
  • Design ID #30802

Step One: Cut Oly-Fun Banner Out

Open Design ID #30802 in Silhouette Studio® and select the banner shape of your choice. Place Oly-fun material on a 12 in. x 12 in. cutting mat and cut out each banner piece. You will get eight banner pieces per 12 in. x 12 in. sheet. Do this step at least twice you have a minimum of sixteen banner pieces.

Step Two: Glue Banner Pieces to Jute String

Place a two-inch line of glue on the jute string. Firmly place a banner piece. Space out your banner pieces as you wish, and repeat until you have a banner at least six-feet in length (not including the extra six inches on each end to tie the banner).

Step Three: Cut Banner String and Tie Off

Cut each end of the banner with a six-inch slack. Tie a knot on each end of the string.

Something we really love about Silhouette machines is that no detail is left untouched. In addition to these projects, cut vinyl out that labels your water jug and s’mores pops. We used Beachy Font on these (and throughout the party) to keep things cohesive.

You now have four adorable and easy projects to use at your summer s’more bash. Throw in a few rustic crates, some glass milk jars, and lots of delicious cookies and chocolate. Happy roasting and toasting!
