Fancy making a lemonade stand, but find it to difficult to make? Well, let me show you an easy and inexpensive way to create one for your child or for a party!
I don’t have access to power tools and saws since I live in a multi-unit apartment, but I fancied making a lemonade station that looks like a lemonade stand for an upcoming party. This stand can be stored easily with limited space, too!
- Silhouette CAMEO®
- Silhouette Washi Sheets
- Silhouette Window Cling Material (White)
- TV table
- Tri-fold presentation board or MDF wood sheets
- Wood planks
- Bakers twine
- Clear tape
- Drink dispenser
Step 1. Create your Lemonade Stand
The base of the stand is literally just a TV table covered with a tri-fold presentation board and wood planks. Take your tri-fold board and paint it with whatever color you desire—I loved the pink and yellow combination, so I created stripes and painted it onto the board.
*If you are looking for a more durable option, you can purchase MDF wood from the hardware store and cut it to size. Attach the ‘flaps’ with hinges to create a foldable design.
If your board is taller than the TV stand, cut it down to size. Top with some wood planks—you can purchase them at the hardware store and have them cut it to size. Make sure you stain them to make them look nice and finished.
Step 2. Create a Label for your Drink Dispenser
I used the Lemonade Sign (Design ID #62290) from the Silhouette Design Store. First, we want to convert it into a print and cut image.
Start by coloring each image in. Select your image, choose Fill Color, and select the color you would like to go with. Make sure you remove the line color in each element, as well.
Once you are done coloring those in, build your image using the display image on the Silhouette Design Store as a guide.
Add your registration marks, print, and then cut your design. Before cutting, select your design and click Cut Edge on the Cut Settings panel. To learn how to use the Print and Cut feature successfully, check out this post!
Carefully peel and apply your design onto the cleaned surface of your drink dispenser.
Step 3. Create a Fun Bunting for your Stand
Create a simple, but fun bunting for your lemonade stand for added cuteness! I used the 6 Banner Set (Design ID #20957) from the Silhouette Design Store and cut 4 in. x 2.5 in. buntings on both washi sheets and clear acetate sheets.
Step 4. Assemble your Lemonade Stand
I lettered a chalkboard to add to my lemonade stand to make it more whimsical and fun. Don’t forget to use colored papercups and fun-patterned paper straws to complete the look.
Once you are done, just disassemble and tuck them away, ready to use next time. And that’s it—how easy is that?
You can definitely customize this tutorial to suit any theme—be it a candy bar, a popcorn bar or whatever you can think of. What kind of stand do you want to create?
