It’s finally time to celebrate Christmas! I don’t know about you, but I’m a staunch support of not doing anything Christmasy until after Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving deserves proper attention!). But now that it’s December I’m so excited to go Christmas-crazy! 🙂

One of my favorite parts of the holidays is the music. Christmas carols and hymns have a special place in my heart and they bring a smile to my face! I found a gorgeous design in the Silhouette Design with the lyric “Oh Holy Night” which is one of my faves 🙂 I just knew I had to make some glittery art to celebrate the holidays 🙂

I opened up the design in my software and sized it to fit a new pretty 8 by 10 frame I just got.

I sent it to my Silhouette CAMEO and had it cut out on Stencil Material. I then weeded and applied the stencil to a piece of cardstock.

After that I sprayed over the stencil with some gold spray paint and then sprinkled some gold glitter over the top while the paint was still wet.

After everything was dry I peeled off the stencil and was left with a gorgeous piece of Christmas art that I can display in my home all holiday season long 🙂

It’s great in my little reading corner – the perfect Christmas hangout spot with some twinkle lights, a fuzzy sheepskin, and a mug of hot cocoa. Ahhhh. 🙂

Oliver approves of the new art in his cozy corner, too!

  1. Oh, this is so cool. I love it. Thanks for the ideas…

  2. Brilliant idea and so simple! Love the gold! I was confused at first when you said “stencil” and realized you used it the positive part of the image creating a mask. Thank you!

  3. That’s a beautiful design. And thank you for your comment about not celebrating Christmas until December! Thanksgiving needs to be a time for “thanks giving” instead of shopping. Then we can celebrate the Christmas season.

  4. Looks beautiful! I love how you transformed a plain piece of cardstock into a glittery piece of Christmas art.

  5. This is beautiful, I’m just trying to learn my cameo, and so glad you have wonderful directions!
