Now that fall is officially here, I’ve been excited to decorate our home with all my autumn decor. There’s just something so cozy about being surrounded by pretty fall candles, throws, pumpkins and more. It just makes everything feel so homey!
I just love bringing fall foliage into our home as a way to bring the outdoors in, so I decided I needed a special fall vase for any autumn arrangements I bring home! I started with a plain mason jar, some glossy gold vinyl, and some awesome matte frosted vinyl.
For my frosted vinyl, I found an adorable ‘Hello Fall’ scripty design in the Silhouette Design Store. I simply sized it to fit my mason jar (always make sure to measure your project before you cut!), sent it to the Silhouette, weeded, and placed the text on the jar using some transfer tape.
I just LOVE how it really looks (and feels!) like etched glass! Same great look, none of the mess or time. I felt my mason jar vase was still lacking a certain something so I decided to add some lovely gold leaves to really play up the fall theme. Once I had them sized correctly, I cut them using my CAMEO.
I placed the leaves by hand instead of using transfer tape for a more random pattern.
They just really add that extra bit of autumn pop! After that, I just put in a cute fall-y arrangement of faux flowers, pinecones, twigs, and burlap for the perfect floral arrangement that doesn’t ever have to be watered!
If you ever want to change up the look, you can always turn the vase around to see more of the leaves. Just note that some of your leaves my overlap any raised writing on the jar, so it’s up to you if you want that to be seen or not!
This vase only took a few minutes to whip up and makes a great autumn tablescape centerpiece or a cute gift for a friend!
