Pineapple Cake Topper | for Silhouette

Excited to share the how-to for this ah-mazing geometric pineapple cake topper, that’s a free design for July (so get it while it’s hot). If you haven’t noticed (I’m sure you have), pineapples are very “in” right now. So whether your planning a pineapple themed soiree or just wanting this super adorable pineapple, because well, it’s ADORABLE, be sure to grab this free design in the Silhouette Store, located on the top left of the page, under FREE DESIGN OF THE WEEK. Now lets talk about this cake topper, shall we?

Here’s what you will need to recreate this pineapple cake topper.

  • Design #
  • Glitter Card Stock
  • White Card Stock
  • Bamboo Skewer
  • Glue Stick
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Yummy Cake

Step 1: Open up the free pineapple design in Silhouette Studio. Size the pineapple to about 6.5 inches tall and about 3.5 inches wide (at least that’s how big I sized mine, for a 6 inch cake).

Step 2: Cut the geometric pineapple on glitter card stock and the back of the pineapple, on white card stock.

Step 3: Once both designs are cut, lay the geometric pineapple (with a couple dabs of glue on the back) over the plain pineapple.

Step 4: Using a hot glue gun, glue a skewer to the back of the pineapple. Voila.

I love this pineapple as a cake topper! If you’re throwing a pineapple themed party, how cute would this design be as a banner? Or even little tooth picks toppers as well. Really the possibilities are endless, whether for a party or for your home.

Hello, I'm Brie (like the cheese) and you can find me blogging over at, a place where I can catalog my favorite projects and post anything I'm passionate about. My brain usually has way too many project tabs open at once, but I absolutely love doing anything that deals with DIY crafts, parties, yummy food, paper making, decor, design, and really good photography. I currently reside in Ogden, Utah and have been married for 5 years now to a good look'n hunk, whom I gave my number to at a bakery I used to work at (written on a PB&J sandwich). I also love Dr. Pepper and chocolate (insert flavor here) cupcakes.
