Father's Day Diy | Child's Drawing Mug Stencil | Brittany Sazonoff for Silhouette America

Being a nanny, I am continually thinking of ways to preserve children’s art, because let’s be honest…we make a lot of it! Remember that Personalized Child Signature Tutorial I did awhile back? Well, this project is the same concept of utilizing your child’s art, the magic of the trace feature in Silhouette Studio, and your CAMEO. But this time, with Silhouette’s Stencil Vinyl & a mug! And… it’s just in time for Father’s Day!

Using a drawing one of the little boys I nanny for drew of his baby brother, I traced the drawing in studio and sized it to fit my mug. You can get more detailed steps on tracing in Studio here. To keep the transfer more durable, I used a Porcelain 150 marker to fill in my stencil and followed it’s baking instructions to cure the drawing to the mug.

  1. Holy cute is right! That dad will love his gift.

  2. Hi there, thinking about buying a Silhouette portrait to put lettering on to metal clay to make rings etc. Can this be done with this machine? is the lettering small enough? Thanks!
