No matter the time of year, I always seem to need birthday cards on hand, so they’re my go-to occasion to craft for whenever I have free time. I’ve also been loving the clean and white trend in crafting and home decor lately, so I thought I’d combine the two and make a very clean birthday card!

The great part of embracing a clean and white style on your project is that colors really pop! So I decided to cut these adorable striped candles using my CAMEO and some bright colors of cardstock.

I wanted to keep my sentiment white, but knew it wouldn’t show up as well straight on the candles. So I used a piece of vellum behind the sentiment, which gives the card some variety and interest and helps the sentiment be readable.

So there you have it! My clean, but colorful birthday card! I hope this gives you an idea for your latest project!

  5. I love the clean look of this card. Thank you for sharing.

  6. What adhesive do you use for adhering the vellum?

    1. I would like to know as well 🙂 I just scrapped an entire card I was almost finished with because I couldn’t get the vellum to attach in a pleasant-looking way.
