Sketch your own watercolor design

Watercolor prints are a hot trend right now, and with the Silhouette Sketch Pens, you can create your own artwork. First off you’ll want to select your design. When using the sketch pens, you’ll go under cut settings and set ‘no cut’ as well as selecting Silhouette Sketch Pens under the material type.

In your machine, you will undo the blue latch holding the blade and remove the blade. Next you’ll take off the cap of your sketch pen and slide it in where the blade usually sits. Tighten the blue latch to secure the sketch pen.

Now you’ll apply watercolor paper to your cutting mat and you’re ready to send your file to the Silhouette.

  1. error!! setting to “no cut” will not sketch either! … or have they changed something in v.3 ?

    1. I hope you were able to make this function work. It is important to change to sketch pen in the material type in order for it to work as it says in the directions, “….as well as selecting Silhouette Sketch Pens under the material type.” It is a really cool function and a lot of fun to add personal touches to projects.

    2. Did you get it to work? Nancy offered great directions!
