“Love” Scrapbook Layout

Good morning! I am happy to be back on the Silhouette blog with a fun and whimsical project using sketch pens!

Truth is, I often forget the possibilities that the sketch pen opens up for craft projects, but I used my sketch pen to create a base for this scrapbook page.

I simply added my black sketch pen into my CAMEO, chose the Cross Square Lace Design and let my machine do the work on some Adhesive Backed white cardstock.  I added some watercolor paint to the design, varying up the colors to co-ordinate with my daughter’s dress.

Once everything was dry, I trimmed the cardstock and then simply peeled the backing off and adhered it to some patterned paper from my stash. The adhesive backing helps keep the paper from warping…but I did add a little stitching around the edge just to be safe 🙂

A fun scripty title cut from more Adhesive Cardstock completes my page nicely!

  1. So pretty! I don’t scrapbook much anymore, but when I do it generally involves sketch pens. 🙂 I love your watercolor effect!

  3. Such a pretty page! Love the use of sketch pens for the background. Need to give that a try too!
