Do you have a little artist on your hands? Not only is this coloring book cute, but it comes together quickly when you make use of Silhouette’s amazing ability to print and cut designs. I used these pretty princesses, but feel free to use whatever designs you’d like. Pick from your previously downloaded library of designs or download one of the thousands of designs available in the Silhouette Design Store!
Turning a design into a coloring page takes a few simple steps. Before you arrange your design, open the “fill color” window and fill the pieces with white. This keeps any unnecessary lines from peeking through the back of the design. Then, open the “line color” window and change all the line colors to black. Finally, open the “line style” window and change your line thickness to 1.0 pt. Now your design is ready for your coloring page.
This mini album design is ideal for a coloring book because the pages are slightly perforated and can be carefully torn out. I printed the inside pages on white cardstock and used Silhouette’s chipboard for the front and back covers.
Kids get extra excited when they see their name on something, so don’t forget to personalize it and make it all theirs!
