I came across this wonderful file in the Silhouette Design Store and knew that it would be a great project to add to my spring and Easter themed decor.
After deciding on what patterned papers and colour scheme to go with I simply cut out all of the pieces needed for the project. Everything is laid out very nicely in this file and all you have to do is ungroup the design and then move the various pieces around when you need to cut them.
I then began to add the patterned pieces onto the egg piece. After they were all adhered, I assembled the egg.
I cut the leaf shape out of two green coloured card stock pieces. I then gently curled the edges of each leaf. You can use a pencil or any cylinder shaped tool to do this. The thicker it is the bigger your ‘curl’ will be. A smaller tool will produce a tighter curl.
I layered the leaf shapes onto the wreath base. The darker colour first.
Followed by the lighter shade.
I took the flowers and curled the petals in the same way as I had done with the leaf design. I adhered a yellow centre and then followed off by adhering a pink rhinestone to the centre using the Silhouette Rhinestone Setter.
Here’s a few close-ups of the finished wreath.
