Stamped Valentine Art – Silhouette America Blog

Stamped Valentine Art

Black and white is one of my very favorite color schemes, but it was also a challenge to make everything work in black and white. A challenge I was more than willing to accept!  It was a lot of fun to come up with all of the projects and I thought I’d share one of them with you today.  {it also happens to be super easy to create and timely for Valentine’s day which is just around the corner!}

Stamped Specimen Art

To create the stamped specimen artwork, I cut the heart shapes and letters out of the stamping material using my CAMEO. Then I stamped all of them but one using the black ink from the stamping starter kit. For a little shine,  I inked the heart in ‘love’  with versamark, stamped it on the cardstock, sprinkled gold embossing powder over the top and used a heat gun to melt it. {It’s been a while since I embossed and I had forgotten how much I like the results!}  I am loving the versatility that comes with cutting my own stamps!

  1. I love your pin board 🙂 So sweet and make a cool gift. Thanks for an inspiration.

  2. Sorry, I’m not sure why my project loaded twice!

  3. Question?!
    I’m noticing duplicate entries and people submitting more than one project, is that permissible? The rules state to submit a project, not projects….. I’m just concerned that this may not be fair to all entrants.

  4. Can I enter the sweepstakes if I don’t have a blog?

    1. You bet! Just click on the add link button at the bottom of the post and upload a photo and description of your project. No blog needed 🙂

  5. This was my first time submitting and I left off a description for #24. I cut out hearts using vinyl and put them on my front door in the shape of a heart. It is an easy way to make one big wreath on a double door.

  6. I could not figure out for the life of me why in the world when I submitted it was not my picture. Very wierd, but I hope everyone thinks they are beary cute! 😉

  7. Help please.
    I’m trying to submit a project, it is Thursday a.m., entries are due by this evening…why can’t I upload it states “collection closed” and I am unable to submit?
