Non-Sweet Valentine Treat

If you’ve followed the blog for a while, you may remember this tic tac toe game I made last summer. It’s a simple game that’s great for road trips, or long waits at the doctor, or a restaurant with the kids. Well, with Valentine’s Day coming just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to use that project as my inspiration for a non-sweet Valentine treat.

I used heat transfer for the words and the game ‘board’ itself, and printed the hearts and x’s on clear sticker paper for the wooden game pieces. Both of them super easy for duplication purposes.

  1. Oh I love how you updated your game with the Valentine theme.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Does the inspiration project need to have a Silhouette cut on it or would any of our projects work? {especially for the newbies}
    Crafty hugs,

    1. As long as your new project is created using the Silhouette, any previous project is great. 🙂

  2. I was wondering the same thing. Is this an “any project” challenge, or a Valentine’s one?

    1. Hi Michelle,

      For this challenge, you’ll use a project you’ve created before as inspiration for a new project. 🙂

  3. OMG!!! I love this and am so excited to make these for my kids!!!!

  4. This is super cute. I really want to remember this one. My grandson would love this when we go out to eat.

  5. Jeana, where did you get the wooden pieces?

    thanks i love this !! just down loaded tons of images to make Tic Tac Toe games.

    1. I got them from Hobby Lobby. They are wooden checkers, if that helps when looking for them 🙂

  6. So who was the winner from the last Weekly Shape Challenge that was before Christmas?

  7. So I’m confused…is this week just any project we do with the silhouette? I didn’t catch a theme this time. I imagine we are still welcome to do the free shape as well? Thanks for such a fun blog to get cool ideas and motivation to try more things!

    1. Hi Lynette! This week’s challenge is to use a project you’ve created before as inspiration for a new project. 🙂

  8. Jeana, I love your tic tac toe game – very cute!
