Happy Holidays Chalkboard Art

Happy Holiday are upon us all and I’m excited to share with you a fun project for the holidays using the beautiful download by Hero Arts. I always try to find different ways to use my paper supplies when decorating for the holidays. It really helps the pocket book and there is always a little more satisfaction knowing you can do so much with a simple download. Chalkboards are still a favorite trend of mine and I also love that you can easily change it out for the holidays.

Did you know that the shapes in Silhouette can be used as great patterns for your chalkboard decor? This technique is super simple and requires very few supplies.  A chalkboard – some chalk markers and your favorite holiday downloads.

Size the Happy Holidays cut file as large as you can fit on a 12×12 piece of card stock. Use the negative space and position on your chalkboard. I chose to use the chalk markers but i’m sure plain old chalk would work just fine too just be sure to sharpen for a fine edge for tracing. 1.Trace the pattern by going around all the edges. 2. Place the word happy holidays back into the negative space and trace your centers of each letter. 3. Color between the lines and you have a beautiful chalked image.

You will notice there are some snowflakes added to the chalkboard as well. Just use your chalk marker on the snowflake stamp from Hero arts and simply stamp your chalkboard. This is the perfect finishing touch!

The possibilities are pretty much endless!

Happy crafting!!
