Trick or Treat Jar

Do you have any empty storage containers around the house? Whether it’s made of glass, plastic or cardboard you can quickly turn it into holiday or party decor. The trick is an easy one, and completely removable when you are done…vinyl labels or decals! The jar I used in today’s project is meant to be filled with flour and stored in the pantry. For the month of October, and with a cute vinyl label, it also works great as a trick or treat jar!

To put the label together in Silhouette studio, I used the raven 31 shape from the Design Store, drew a circle around it and used this technique to get the dot border around the outside.

With vinyl it takes just minutes to apply and you get super crisp, clean lines every time. Love it!

Have a great Wednesday!

  1. I love this idea but wondered … how did you get the white background? Did you print a white background and adhere it to the inside of the jar? It has a 3D appearance. Thanks!

    1. I used the CAMEO to cut a white circle out of cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the jar with a couple of glue dots. Not a necessary step, but does make the label pop a little bit 🙂

    2. Thanks Leanne for asking the question about the white. I was mega-confused on how that was done. 😉

  2. Super cute idea!

  3. Great idea! I love the numbers and have looked all over for similar letters…any ideas?
