Photo Focus Scrapbook Layout – Silhouette America Blog

Photo Focus Scrapbook Layout

Sometimes with all of the fun embellishments and papers out there it’s easy to keep adding more and more to the page and the photo becomes secondary instead of the focus of the page. So, with this simple sketch I put the *photo front and center so I could still embellish, but keep the photo as the focus. Another trick for drawing attention to the photo is to keep the background of the page a light or neutral color and put a dark frame around the photo. In this page the navy doodle frame really makes it pop!

ahhh, details…

One of my favorite details on the page is the scribble border done with a sketch pen in place of the blade in my CAMEO.

If you’ve got the designer edition of Silhouette studio, you can easily change the lines of your shapes to cute doodles using any of the options in the sketch window! {click on the screen shot below to enlarge and see all of the options in the sketch window}

Happy scrapping!

  2. Gorgeous layout. Thanks for the tip about the doodling on the shape with designer edition. I am still finding my way around Designer edition but seeing an example like this makes it very simple!

  5. Can you add the names of the shapes used. I purchased the bundle but now when I go back to look at this post since the time is past for purchasing the bundle so I don’t have record of what shapes were used.

    1. Hi Betty,

      I have updated the post with the shape links at the bottom. 🙂
