Weekly Shape Challenge & Giveaway :: Fall Edition

The other day while I was driving to work, I looked up at the mountains and saw that the leaves have already started to change colors. My favorite time of year is just around the corner my friends!  That means gorgeous colors, cooler weather and pumpkin in all shapes and forms {Yum!} are just around the corner too!

If you haven’t guessed yet, the theme for this week’s shape challenge ‘FALL’. Gift tags, home decor, scrapbook pages and cards with a fall theme and created with your Silhouette are acceptable. {see additional rules at the end of the post}

For my project today I combined some of my fall favorites, and created a wrap & tag for this delicious pumpkin bread. Isn’t the sketched tag fun? Thank you metallic sketch pens!

I’m excited to see all of the fall goodness you create!

Autumn is my favorite season.  I love sweater weather, the crisp, cool air,  and the sound of leaves crunching under my boots.  Love it!  For the challenge I decided to make something to hang in my home that will remind me of the season I adore.
Washed out color and watercolor looks have been popular so far this year, and I really enjoy that fresh, soft look! Also, there’s been a lot of white on white.  On white.  I thought it would be fun to pair the two trends together with some pretty fall colors.  I sketched my shapes with a waterproof pen by replacing my blade with the new pen holder.  Then I popped my blade back in, and cut around the sketch to make a thought bubble.  After it was all cut out, all I needed to do was  simply “color” in the lines with a paintbrush and some watercolors!
It’s super easy to do and I love that it looks artsy, and I’m totally not an artist!  I can’t wait to see all of your fun fall projects!  Good luck!

  1. Just wanna say that it does not allow you to tell something about your entry when you do not have an URL. So here goes: For my entry I’ve used: ppbn zombie boy (Design ID #47397 ), 5×7 shadow box by Lori Whitlock (Design ID #26222 ), echo park halloween sky by Echo Park (Design ID #17578) and zombie hands by Rivka Wilkins (Design ID #48133) I do believe that Halloween is a part of fall too – right? :-)

  2. This was fun to enter. This is my first time playing. I love the pumpkin pillow boxes I created.

    Thanks to all who shared. I do not have time to comment on each one of your projects, but they are all fantastic!

  4. I’m trying to find the shapes used on the pumpkin bread wrap. The link isn’t valid anymore. TIA!
