“You are my everything” Card

“You are my everything” Card

The Silhouette is the perfect machine for card makers!

You can see that I haven’t followed the sketch exactly, but I’ve followed the idea of it. Rather than using rectangles of patterned paper, I used various shapes, but they still nestle together kind of like a puzzle, which is what I was going for. 🙂  I also decided to put my sentiment on a little banner shape.
To make all of the pieces pop, I did a black lined internal offset (find out more about offset here) and then print and cut the pieces out.  You could achieve a similar look by using a sketch pen, though!

Lastly, I added a few arrows and hearts to fill in the spaces.  This card came together very quickly and I love that clean and simple look.  Be sure to share your interpretation of this week’s sketch with us!

  1. I really like that layout! I think I’ll have to make a card similar. I had no idea the black was an offset, I really thought it was the sketch pens until I read through the post. What great ideas! And if you did just the rectangles, it would knock out some scraps fast!

  2. Great card! Love the pop of colors and the layout. Great take on the sketch.

  3. Once again, Love your card. The colors are especially beautiful. I did the same internal offset that you did, but followed the tip you mentioned about using the sketch pen. I love the way it turned out. Mine looks very similar to yours except I used some different materials and changed things up just a little bit. Feel free to check mine out :
