DIY Travel Tic Tac Toe – Silhouette America Blog

DIY Travel Tic Tac Toe

This travel tic tac toe is sure to be hit for kids everywhere!

For the front of the bag I used both smooth and flocked heat transfer, and I really like the mixture of textures…
Then, so that the game was self contained, I flipped the bag over and ironed the tic tac toe grid right to the back…

For the actual game pieces, there are x’s and o’s that come with the tic tac toe shape, but I found these little animal shapes in the online store that went along with my camping theme. So, I print/cut them out of the printable clear sticker paper and adhered them to the bottom side of wooden checkers. They are durable, and pretty cute too!

Now, you probably don’t need to do any actual traveling to make good use of a game like this. It’s just the right size to fit in a purse for those times when you are on the go, and the littles need some quiet entertainment. 🙂

  2. Such a great idea! Where did you get the game pieces?

    1. I got the wooden checkers from Hobby Lobby.

  3. how did you make the animals those colors? Plus where did you get the bag at?

    1. I filled the animal shapes with color using the fill color window, and the bag came from an online canvas bag retailer. You can find some similar here http://www.save-on-crafts.com/cottonbags1.html

    1. Hi Melissa,

The shape bundles are only available for a week after the project is posted, but I have added links to all of the shapes used at the bottom of the post. 🙂
