Printable Party Invitation & DIY Backgrounds

Happy Friday, and a big thanks to everyone who submitted a project for last week’s shape challenge! Congrats to Lynette @ My Craft Discovery who is the randomly selected winner!  {Lynette, please send me an email including the email address you use for your Silhouette account.}

**To see all of the creative projects submitted each week for the shape challenge, visit our Weekly Shape Challenge board on Pinterest. **

Now… are you ready for your next shape challenge? This week’s shape, the borders set by Jennifer Wambach comes with 6 designs that can be combined or used separately to create patterns and borders.  Super versatile, right?

For my project I used the border shape combined with some of my favorite things, parties and the print and cut feature, and created this little invitation. I’m loving these bright colors lately!

Jen decided to make a customized paper with today’s shape!  She used a bronze sketch pen to create the chevron outlines and then cut chevrons that were slightly smaller out of some patterned paper scraps, to fill in some of the spaces.  So cute!  I can’t wait to see how Jen uses this paper in an upcoming Thursday’s Sketch!
What will you create with this week’s shape?
Challenge rules:
*Create a project using the selected shape {this shape will be chosen from the most popular downloads, so most of you will already have it… but if you don’t, feel free to submit a project using the weekly free shape instead}
*Leave a comment on this Weekly Shape Challenge post before next Friday @ midnight MST with a link to your project {If you don’t have a link no worries, just email us a picture of your project and leave a comment letting us know we’ve got mail}

Each Friday following the challenge announcement, we will select a winner at random from the comments to receive a $10 download credit to the Silhouette online store! Also…we want your projects to be seen, so each one submitted will be featured on our Weekly Shape Challenge board on Pinterest!
Psssst… don’t forget that if you are planning to use the free shape instead of the new challenge shape,  there are TWO to choose from this week… You can use either this one, OR this one

    I just love my Silhouette. I decided to play along with the challenge. I used one of the free shapes (The circle with “Thanks” in the center.) I combined it with my own designs.
