Quick Gift Wrap

Quick Gift Wrap

Hello, and happy simple Saturday!  Today I want to share a quick idea that will take simple gift wrap from ordinary to something a little more personal and fun!

First, you’ll start with a plain glassine bag. It’s like a blank canvas, and with your Silhouette it will take just minutes to dress it up. Next, cut a piece of patterned paper or cardstock just slightly smaller than the bag and slide it inside. Then, add your gift/treat and seal the bag closed with a little bit of washi tape. In Silhouette studio you can create a custom label like I did here, or you can use one from the online store that is already designed for you. Add that to the top of the bag, and you’re done. Easy peasy and super cute!

  15. You will probably think I am crazy, but did you use white cardstock and then just have the printer ink in the yellow border? It looks like all one sheet of paper, (not like you print and cut the white and then pasted it onto the yellow paper), but the yellow looks like its own paper. I have always wondered how you print tags, etc with white writing. It is just that you fill in the entire shape and then let the white of the cardstock show through? I hope that makes sense. I am sure it is a simple answer, and you probably have a better printer than I do, but I have just been wondering. Thank you!!!

    1. Nope, I don’t think you are crazy 🙂 It is all printed on one piece of white cardstock, so the white you see is just the paper showing through. Hope that helps!

    2. Perfect! My suspicions are confirmed. Thank you!

  16. Is this thank you label pre made? Can I purchase it from Silhouette or you? Also where can I get the font from? I love that font. This is a wonderful idea. I think I’d like to make book marks and put in a bag with a little note on patterned paper. You’ve given me ideas. Thanks

    1. I created the label by combining several different shapes from the Silhouette online store and turning them into a print and cut, including the ‘thank you’ sentiment. To find the shapes I used, you can link to each one at the bottom of the post.

    2. Thanks.

  17. Is there a better picture of the inclosed flower? I’d like to see how that is made. Thanks

    1. Are you referring to what is inside the bag?

  18. Yes please
