Simple Saturdays :: Paper Bow Bookmark

Welcome to Simple Saturdays! Today I want to show you how to make these darling bow bookmarks.

All you will need to get started is your Silhouette, patterned paper or cardstock, glue and a paper clip.
First cut out the bow shape. {This is great for using your scraps!} Then add glue to each end. Next, fold them in towards the center and hold in place until the glue is dry. Place the paperclip over the tab, add adhesive and wrap the tab up over the paper clip to the back side of the bow. Add more adhesive to the tab, press down and hold in place until dry.

That was quick right? Now if you’ve got another minute or two, you can whip up a cute card to attach them to for gifting. They are perfect for a book loving friend.

You can make the card out of any basic shape. Once you have your shape open in Silhouette studio, you’ll just want to use the line tool to add a line 3″ w across the center of the shape. {if hold down the shift key while drawing you’ll get a perfectly straight line every time}

These little guys were created as bookmarks, but while you are making them keep your scrapbook pages and cards in mind too :)

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little tutorial! See you Monday…
