Want to create a set of your own? First open Silhouette studio and change the paper size to 8.5" x 11" in the page window to reflect the size of the adhesive sheets.
Then, measure the height and circumference or your candle and and draw a rectangle that size in Silhouette studio. Next, type your letters inside the rectangle and center them. Then open the heart shape
Be sure to select Double-sided adhesive in the cut settings menu, and place your adhesive sheet on the mat as shown in Silhouette studio. Then, load your mat and click cut.
Once cut out, remove the I and U. Then, remove the yellow backing and wrap the rectangles around the candles, lining up the two ends on the back side of the candle. Then remove the yellow backing from the heart and adhere it to the front of a 3rd candle. Finally, remove the white covering and glitterfy! {For the I and U candles you can roll them in the glitter for easy application. } For any excess glitter you can use a paint brush to remove.

The heart shape is part of the "love you" speech bubble shape that comes with the CAMEO.

Seriously clever and SO pretty! :D
ReplyDeleteSo what happens when you burn down the candle???
ReplyDeleteThese candles are lovely but am worried if they are lit? Are they safe? I do painted ones and stamp on them and these are fine but these may be more flamable?
ReplyDeletethese are lovely, but I too thought about the possible danger - no problem for me as I recently discovered real wax candles that are flameless :)that way they are 100% safe & bonus, the work we do making them lasts!!! hope this helps :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea! Thanks Dee that would solve it!
ReplyDeleteHeather xx
What a wonderfully simple idea for just after Xmas and New Year's. Great way of keeping the costs down and the candles themselves look stunning.

How can you center the letters in the retangle? Do you have to do it manually or is there a way to have it auto done?
ReplyDeleteHi Elise... First you will select both the shape and the letter. Then, open the align window and select center. Hope that helps :)
DeleteThat was perfect!!! Thank you Jeana!!!
