It's great on it's own for 3d shapes, or with a spritzed pattern like this little box. {LOVING the combo of chipboard and spritz!}
Or, when you need a shape to be a little more durable, covering the chipboard with patterned paper does the job.
*as each new product goes live and is available for purchase, I will post updates, so stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the new chipboard product! I hope there will be a tutorial done on how to use this great product!
ReplyDeleteSounds exciting, but can this chipboard also be cut with the older Silhouette? My Silhouette is already struggling with heavier (220 gsm) cardstock, which is why I don't use my Silhouette a lot.
ReplyDeleteYay... I have been making my own chipboard with my sil for years... Just cut three of the same image and glue together... This will save time, blades and adhesives!!! Thanks sil gang!
ReplyDeleteOH MY, this has been one of my few sadnesses of choosing Silhouette over other type cutters.. I have never regretted it once, but just sad I couldn't cut some type of Chipboard... woo hoo... you made my day!
ReplyDeleteNo way!! I can't wait to hear more about it!!
ReplyDelete~Natalie
I'm so excited! I love chipboard!
ReplyDeleteYay - so looking forward to this!
ReplyDeleteIs this only for the Cameo or all Silhouette machines? Can't wait to try this out!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely can't wait for this product!!!! Woot-woot!
ReplyDeleteI hope that there is a new blade to cut this chipboard because the current blades can barely get through Bazzill cardstock.
ReplyDeleteI use bazzil all the time and it cuts great... blade at 3 or 4 depending on how sharp and paper thickness at 30...
DeleteEeeeeeee! This is exciting news :)
ReplyDeleteIs this a new cutting machine or a new material to cut? Hope its not a new machine... just ordered my cameo yesterday.
ReplyDeleteit's a new material to cut... we'd have heard a lot more about a new machine on the market - and as you can see from the comments - it's a new material that's been greatly anticipated... Have fun with your new Cameo - you'll have a blast xx
DeletePhew! Thanks!! Im just beginning the fun!
DeleteI am loving the Pinwheel. So this will be available soon right. TFS
ReplyDeleteWow! How exciting! Definitely will be trying this!
ReplyDeleteI saw this at CHA, and am so excited to try it!
ReplyDeleteI have used my new Portrait 4 times. The first two times worked fine. The third time it detected registration marks, but the cutting was way off. The 4th time, it won't detect registration marks at all. So it doesn't even get to cutting. I went to the manual and looked at the trouble shooting section. It did not correct the problem. Help!! I actually have to have this done by Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHi Desiree, our customer support team would be happy to help. You can email them at support@silhouetteamerica.com :)
DeleteIf you haven't gotten help yet... I had some trouble with registration marks.. and for me, it was operator head space:) I had 12x12 paper selected and had put shapes and designs and printed it, but it was only on an 8.5x11 paper naturally, so it didn't print the registration marks properly...
DeleteThanks Jeana, I will email them. And thank you iamb. I have correct paper size selected. It did it before, it just suddenly won't recognize them. Thanks for the try though!
DeleteThat is GREAT news! All those new possibilities! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteChipboard?!? Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteNow THIS makes my little heart go pitter patter!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am very excited about this!!!! I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait! This is great news. Will this require a different blade??
ReplyDeleteStudio 2.7.6 has the chipboard as an option in the Cut Settings Window and only requires the blade to be set on 5. Same blade.
DeleteAWESOME!!!! My question has been asked above about the blade, can't wait to hear the answer.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me which shape is being used for the box above? thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is great BUT you're still not shipping to Canada - Where am I going to get this. This has been the one thing I have been waiting for
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca, we have several retailers in Canada. Are any of them close to you? http://silhouetteamerica.com/storeListing.aspx
DeleteThere's a discussion on the Silhouette Flickr group that lists a few places in Canada people are buying or ordering from. http://www.flickr.com/groups/silhouettemachine/discuss/72157631883421608/
DeleteCan you suggest a box shape that can be cut on a Silhouette SD that will make a bigger box? Even if I had to buy several shapes that go together? I am thinking a box that would be big enough to hold envelopes and cards...?
ReplyDeleteWhen are you shipping to Canada?
ReplyDeleteget this baby over to the UK as soon as possible... can't wait to do all my 3d shapes with this stuff... oh em gee - I'm giddy with excitement....
ReplyDeletePaula x x x
