Christmas Card Workshop : card 3 FREE Shape of the Week

This week’s FREE shape is going to make creating today’s card a breeze! All of the pieces needed to create this reindeer pocket card are included in the shape.

I cut the pocket out of vellum so  glimpses of the music note paper could be seen peeking through behind the deer. Then, to embellish the card, I wrapped jute around the pocket, then tied gold thread and jute to the tag. I feel like this shape lends itself well to something clean and classy, but the addition of a little rhinestone nose takes it to the cute and fun side just as easily.

Have a great day and enjoy your new shape!

p.s. Because it’s always fun for everyone to see what YOU are creating… here’s a little heads up for those creating the cards in the workshop this week, Friday there will be a link party to show them off! *excited*

  7. What a blast! Besides having a great grasp of perspective, what a great…grasp of perspective…such artists have to pour so much heart into something so ephemeral.

Love the idea of a vellum tag! I’ve bee having trouble cutting vellum with my Cameo (I’m new at this). Do you have any tips or tricks?

Hi Pat, I’ve found it cuts best when I use the settings for textured cardstock. Give that a shot and let me know if it helps.
