Happy Monday, friends. Welcome to day 1 of this week's Christmas Card Workshop! Pull up a craft table and follow along with me this week as I make 5 simple, fun Christmas cards to send to my family and friends.
Suggested Supplies to get you started::
Silhouette Portrait {perfect for the card maker!}
your favorite adhesive
{4} 4.25 x 5.5 card bases
holiday scrapbook paper
Today's card sketch...
Start with a 4.25" x 5.5" card base. Then, cut a strip of patterned paper that is 1.5" x 5.5" and adhere it to the center of the card front.

Next, open the 3d ribbon bow shape in Silhouette Studio and in the scale window resize it to 6.040" x 2.765". Then, cut it out of patterned paper or cardstock.
Assemble the bow by folding in each side and adhering it to the center. Then, take the center rectangle piece and wrap it around the front of the bow and adhere it on the back side.
Next, open the jewelry tag set in Silhouette studio and delete all but the Christmas tree tag. Then, resize it to .785" x 2". Once it is resized, ungroup the shape and cut the tag out of one cardstock color and the tree out of another. For dimension, add a pop dot to the back of the tree before adhering it to the bottom of the tag. Then, thread the tag with jute or twine and knot at the top.
Next, wrap the jute/twin around the bow and adhere the bow to the front of the card about 1.5" from the top...
and you're done!
A quick mailing tip for dimensional cards... I like to use a 3d envelope box as opposed to a regular envelope when mailing these cards. It does cost a bit extra, but totally worth it for the card to arrive in all it's dimensional glory!

** The winners of the Letter to Santa contest were announced Friday on Facebook. If you missed the announcement, you can see it on our page here. Congrats to Russell, Linda, Heidi! {click on their name to view their letter} and a big, big, BIG thanks to all who entered. It was so fun to read all of your letters and there were so many great ones they had a hard time choosing just three! Don't forget to give your letter and wishlist to the santa in your life so you can have a Silhouette Christmas too! :)

Cute!
