Yesterday some of my co-workers and I had a little gingerbread house decorating fun! We all started with the same house...
and added our own embellishments...
I love how each of them turned out!
Decorating these little houses would be a great activity for a holiday party, and super kid friendly too.
At each place setting provide an assembled house and fill small bowls with paper candy, wreaths, gingerbread men, trees, windows, banners etc for embellishing. Then turn on your favorite Christmas music and you've got yourself a party! They are really fun to make, and make very little mess.

ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that brown paper?
ReplyDeleteHi Suzette,
DeleteThe brown paper is Kraft paper that I purchased at Archivers, but you can usually find it at just about any craft supply store.
To answer the question below... once you have the shape open, click ungroup down at the bottom left of your screen. Then you can re-arrange the shapes to fit your paper size.
Hope this helps :)
Also, can you do a gingerbread house tutorial? When I put my 8.5 x 11 paper on my mat, the shapes are too large. How did I make it all work into that size paper?
ReplyDeleteyou need to ungroup the image...
