Christmas Card Workshop : Snowflake Tag

Happy Friday and day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas!

Today’s free shape wraps up the Christmas Card Workshop and it might just be the easiest card yet!

To get the look you see here, open the shape in Silhouette studio, ungroup it and move the snowflakes off to the side. Then cut the tags out of cardstock.  Swap the tags with the snowflakes on the mat and cut them out of a different color of cardstock. Once they are cut out, fold the tag in half and adhere the snowflake to the top. Write a little note inside and it’s ready to attach to a gift.

They are darling…  I love the simplicity of them as they are, but you could also cut the snowflake out of double sided adhesive and glitter it up, or add some white flocking powder for a little texture.

If you have a little more to say then what will fit in just a tiny gift tag, you can also use this shape as a full sized card.

After opening the shape in Silhouette studio, resize it to fit your liking. Then, ungroup the shape, move the snowflake to the side and delete the small circle and curved line in the center of the tag.  Cut that shape out of cardstock and voila… you’ve got yourself a card base. Adhere the snowflake to the top and embellish as desired.

This week has been fun! 5 days, 5 new cards…

When are you announcing the winners of the Santa letters?

  2. What beautiful, elegant projects! Love the colors together with the kraft. The snow scene, the honeycomb ornament and the deer are my favorites.
