It was my turn to play with the new Advent Calendar this week.
I made 25 little boxes and filled them with treats. They are super easy to put together, and for twice the fun you could add a piece of paper with a family activity for at least one day a week. {find assembly instructions in this post.}
This time of year can get kind of crazy, so I am all about time savers when it comes to holiday projects. That's why I went with a 6 x 6 paper pad to create my boxes. Yep, a mini paper pad and one piece of white cardstock gets you all 25 boxes and number labels. There are a lot of cute Christmas paper pads out right now to choose from too. {I used Merry & Bright from Carta Bella. I love the bright non traditional color scheme. }
The advent calendars will be available soon... for updates you can sign up for the Silhouette Newsletter at www.silhouetteamerica.com to stay informed as the date gets closer!

ReplyDeleteHi Having bought last year's Advent Calendar I was disappointed by this year's I could not really see the point as advent calendars for me need treats!!! However this is quite a nice idea. I am sorry though last year's was so stunning I am still not tempted to buy! :(

I did a google search to see what last years looked like- WOW so cute! I just found silhouette in the last couple months- I did by this years but if last years was available I would have bought it.
DeleteI agree with Heather. Though what you've done with things years advent calendar is darling, last years calendar was unbeatable. And you got all of the cute boxes to download as well. I so wish I had bought one while they were still in stock!! :(
ReplyDeleteI's amazing!I can try to do a similar calendar.
ReplyDeleteHi, I just got my Cameo and my calendar should be here soon. Can you please tell me the best/fastest way to get the numbers on the circles?
ReplyDeleteHi Holly... that's exciting! :) I did a print/cut for the numbers on this calendar which is super quick. If you are new to print and cut, here is a quick tutorial... http://blog.silhouetteamerica.com/2012/06/reading-corner-series-print-and-cut.html
