Happy FREE Shape Tuesday! I love this little gingerbread house shape. It's darling, and the perfect addition to this holiday party invitation.
For the little house to fit on the invitation I resized it to about 1.5" x 2" which means the details are pretty tiny. Something I find helpful when cutting the super tiny details is of course the sharper the blade and stickier the mat the better, and then the best way to remove them from the mat, while keeping their shape, is to use the spatula tool. It's a life saver I tell ya!
ps. if you love this shape as much as I do, there are a couple of other gingerbread houses, in the same style, new in the online store this week.
Have a great day... and enjoy your new shape!

ReplyDeleteOH my gosh, love this typography styled project - the little house is so sweet (no pun intended) - off to get that shape right now - Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of making this gingerbread house the first project ever with my cameo...with construction paper...can we say "Crash Course" first lessons learned:..plain shapes only with that paper...make sure you size to paper...buy a spatula...a dental hook serves the same purpose as the hook...make sure the roller doesn't smush it to the mat...accurate blade dept is important...whew!
