FREE shape of the week...
This little guy was so much fun to work with! I love all the feathers. Isn't he cute?
To achieve the look I wanted, I kept the feathers separate so I could place them individually. But, for quicker assembly, you can also weld the feathers together in rows. To do this, line up the feathers slightly overlapping each other. Then, select all of the shapes. Next go to the modify window and click weld.
Now you can cut each row of feathers as one shape.
I'd love to see what you create with this week's shape! Click on the new "submit a project" button on the sidebar for details.
Have a fantastic Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteLove this project! Thanks for the great free shape this week, it's such a cute and versatile design.
ReplyDeleteIs it fabric?
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanette, I used just cardstock and patterned paper for this project. Would be cute cut out of fabric though!
DeleteGreat project! Thanks for the freebie and the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteAwesome freebie! I was just thinking about cutting an owl card for my niece's one year birthday card to go with the owl toys and books I bought her...and tada! Super cute owl shape for free! Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteI love this Owl! I already had something similar before this! Love it! It was on my list of to do's!
ReplyDeleteI had this frame on my list too...but now can't seem to find it. Just in a mirror style. Do you remember where you got it? I need several. I just LOVE this project you did. Thanks!
Hi Ali, the frame is from IKEA :) Are you making something fun?
DeleteHave a great Friday!
Thank you Jeana! I knew there was some place else I saw it...and I could not wrap my head around it. That's what happens when you have too much you want to do! Seeing your phone story-I should make use of my phone more often. Taking pics would be a great idea so I know what I am planning later. My mind goes crazy with things I want to do while I am shopping.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to make framed areas for our 2 older girls desk area in our revamped play room. It isn't completely finished, but I want to get some things on the wall. The room is finally painted! And then our littlest new to the family girl-her room has birds and owls. I am in love with the owl and birds and plan on doing something over her table for her with this frame. Let's see what they let me get done! They keep me pretty crazy! Thank you so much Jeana! Hopefully I can make it over there this weekend and shop away for these frames. My hubby has a return there-so a little nudging to go won't be to hard to do. :) You have a great Friday too!
