A Little Crafty

Wow, thanks for the welcome! You are the BEST! Speaking of you, I’m curious…it being a new year and all, do you have any resolutions that involve more crafting? As for me, one of my resolutions is be a little better at staying in touch with some friends I haven’t talked to in a while. I’m one for multitasking, so I’m planning to combine that resolution with being a little crafty! :) What better way to let someone know you are thinking about them than with a handmade card? Sent through the mail even! I know I love getting them, so this year I plan to give them. The Designer Edition of the Silhouette Studio is going to make it a breeze! Since I’ve had cards on the brain, today I decided to create one with a custom base using one of my favorite bracket shapes and the welding feature.

Happy Thursday! Stay tuned tomorrow for the tutorial.

Hi Jeana, and a warm welcome from over the pond in the UK. I love your gorgeous shaped card and flowers.

I’ve owned my Silhouette since they first came to the UK, and I was lucky enough to get the Cameo for an early Christmas present. I make quite a lot of shaped cards…it’s so easy on the Cameo to make larger cards and matching gift boxes:)

  2. HELLO!! Love the blog!! Also love the silhouette cameo! Just recently got one and all I want to do is play with it… lol. I was wondering if I could use the silhouette to add journaling font to my pages and projects?

That’s an awesome resolution. I have a personal resolution that’s similar and you are reminding me that I need to mail off a couple of cards tomorrow!

Crafty resolution wise, I made a resolution about making the most of the little time I have to craft – http://almostneverclever.wordpress.com/2012/01/03/new-years-resolution/

one of the things I would like too see on this blog is HOW you make the items you show. In the past and now as this post shows you just tell us what you made. How about a step by step?

Jane, if you look further back on the blog, there are quite a lot of tutorials…or click on the tutorial tab at the top of this page:)

  7. Looking forward to the tutorial tomorrow! I’m glad to see you’re keeping Traci’s cheerful yellow in your first project. :)

Welcome Jeana! I can see your creations are going to be serious fun. Can’t wait for the tutorial because I’ve been considering the Designer software but don’t know if I’ll use it much! This will be an eye opener for me:)
