Our new premium vinyl is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  I love all the colors, there are some really great basics and some oh so fun new colors. The pink of course is one of my faves…oh and the green.  I will show you a project with that another day.  But today’s project I used the vinyl to cut out my “princess” title and create a frame around the picture.

Of course I used my trusty welding skills and combined a few shapes to create the frame.  See the shapes below.  Isn’t it amazing how many ways you can use your Silhouette?  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Is there a way to refresh the carrier sheet? I am having trouble with cardstock slipping off during the cutting process.

I have washed mine, not that it’s recommended, (maybe I should read up on it) but it made mine nice and sticky again. I just used a little cold water, a drop of dish soap, and didn’t scrub much.

I am having problems with the vinyl
This might be too late to help. I am using Silhouette software with Wishblade. When I cut vinyl the cap has to be put in at the 6:00 position, not the 3:00 like paper. Not sure if silhouette works the same way.

I am having the same problem as Rachel. I use the blue cap, It cuts through the vinyl and backing. I have slowed the speed as recommended by the customer service and still the same problem. In addition to this, as my vinyl rolls through the cutter, the letters lift off the page and ruin. I am trying to use more than a standard size of paper because I am doing a bible verse on my son’s wall. But that shouldn’t matter because I am staying within their recommendations and it tears the very first letter! It seems to roll the letter up under the flat silver bar that the black thing and blade travel along. I need help, this baby is due in 11 days!!

  23. I have had my machine since Christmas and i can not cut vinyl. I can cut everything else but it will not even score the vinyl
